From the Presentation/Chat

  • Khalil Alamour’s slides are available here as a PDF.
  • Our opening video today was a special Stop the War Coalition project called “War on the Wall”. It is a collaboration between artist Taqi Spateen and filmmaker Bilal Alkhatib. It is a work of art that commemorates Stop the War and the life of their former president, Tony Benn. In the piece, Taqi memorialises the words of Tony Benn on Bethlehem’s apartheid wall, just ten metres away from Banksy’s Walled Off Hotel. You can find it on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0wVkSeUrPI
  • Hello everyone. My name is Josef Avesar. I am new to this group and will make sure to attend as much as I can. I am the president of an organization called The Israeli Palestinian Confederation. We believe in the creation of a common government for the people of Palestine and Israel . I would like to invite you to the Israeli Palestinian Zoom simulation with Cornel West this coming Sunday.
  • Speaking of indigenous connections, the map at https://native-land.ca does NOT include Palestinians or Bedouins. I emailed them once and was just told they were adding peoples from time to time. I encourage you to contact them as well and get them to add them.
