Ibrahim Hannouneh, Media Officer and Exchange Programs Coordinator, and Muhanad Al-Qaisy, Olive Tree Campaign Coordinator, from the Joint Action Initiative taught us about the importance of the olive harvest for Palestinian society and its economy, and how the Apartheid Wall and settler violence, among other injustices, attack olive production.

Three-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee, former archbishop, and founder of Mar Elias schools, Archbishop Elias Chacour addressed the barriers to education that Palestinian children face, particularly discriminatory funding practices.

NOTE: TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES KEPT THE ARCHBISHOP FROM JOINING FOR MUCH OF THE LIVE SESSION. We recorded an interview the following day and have edited in that interview where it should have occurred the original night, after his introduction. The new interview with the Archbishop is at  the 16:14 mark, while the rest of the original session continues at 49:22.

Raffoul Rofa, the director of the Society of St. Yves. They taught us about the effects of occupation on Jerusalem, and what is being done and what can be done about it.
